| While you are next to all those waterways, consider wetting a line and going after the Frankentrout that are reputed to snuggle in under the banks of the rivers and cruise the depths of mountain lakes. In Colorado, fishermen have access to hundreds of miles of lake shoreline, beaver pond edges, riverbanks and streambeds. Much of the state’s riverbed is Gold Medal fishing, which allows only artificial flies and lures. But you can fish from a canoe or boat on many of the lakes and rivers. | ![]() |
